The Etymology of Mimble Wimble

Twas grillig, and the slithy knaves
Did mimble wimble en the clave;
All quinsy were the politaves,
And the wrath trolls outrave.
Nattercrocky ... with apologies to Lewis Carrol
It appears that J.K. Rowling independently invented 'Mimble Wimble' as a nonsense term in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone". One wonders at the thought process by which she arrived at the invention.
